DJ Qbert is hitting and celebrating his 25th year anniversary mark as one of today’s foremost turntabilist. Regarded as the “Jimi Hendrix” of the turntables, Qbert has been known to invent incredible styles as well as unique systems of skratching. Within the history of his career, he can assertively claim that he’s contributed to the deejay community and forwarded a new era of turntabilism, propelling the art to a higher form.
Mars-1 is a visual artist who paints multi-layered landscapes in such unique imagery that can make someone explore the possibilities of ethereal existences. Check out this recent interview by The Citrus Report to get a glimpse of his mind and current work.
Tomorrow night DJ Qbert and Mars-1 will be teaming up to bring a show that fuses music and art. The show features a set by DJ Qbert and other special guests with live painting by Mars-1. But the elation and excitement doesn’t stop there… the show is also in 3D! The first 200 will be supplied with glasses and will be able to watch DJ Qbert perform and Mars-1 paint in 3D.
